"Salsa Styling Workshop" explores the solo salsa movements known as "shines," inspired by Afro-Cuban rhythms. You'll focus on footwork, body isolations, and arm styling, developing confidence and flair without a partner. This class aims to improve balance, rhythm, and coordination while encouraging individual expression. Open to all levels, it offers a fun way to connect with salsa's rich cultural roots. Dancers are welcomed to wear either dance or street shoes/attire for this class!

My aim is to create a space where students can explore Salsa in a solo/shine style, developing their individual technique, confidence, and expression. I want it to be both fun and empowering, while also deepening their understanding of timing, coordination, and body movement in Salsa. My hope is that these students will walk away from this class with the confidence to showcase their personal flair on the dance floor, whether in solo shines or partnered dancing.
