On behalf of all of Rae Studios, we want to say thank you to all who came out to another amazing "Halloween Heels Boo-Tacular" Workshop with JJ. JJ has been a wonderful artist and instructor and we are blessed to have had him teach at our studio before he makes his big move to New York. Thank you again, JJ, for all your wisdom and knowledge.


JJ served up a spooktacular choreography full of story-telling, intention setting, and character. It felt amazing to see the students focus on performance with this workshop. Huge shout out to videographer Tessa Noelle for capturing the workshop!

About JJ

J.J. Ghera is a San Francisco Bay area Native who started His professional dance career at 16, dancing for local theater companies. Credits include Chicago, and grease! After High School J.J. moved to Los Angeles where he continued his dance journey receiving his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology & Dance from Cal State Northridge. Simultaneously, training professionally at Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio as a student in the work/study program for two years. As well as Millennium Dance Complex, Edge P.A.C., and International Dance Academy (IDA). After 6 years in Los Angeles J.J. moved to London, UK where he performed and competed with professional hip-hop crew Masters of Movement and signed with the dance agency Box Artist Management.


J.J. returned to the Bay area in 2014 after suffering a severe spinal injury requiring immediate surgery. After 2 years in recovery J.J. got right back to work and back doing what he loves most dancing, choreographing, teaching, directing, and slaying! you can also catch J.J. performing in drag around the city and online as Sydney bates the murderess of drag.
