Anna Bolender

DRENCHED! (All Levels)

11:00am-11:55am

Anna (she/her) was born and raised in Frankfurt, Germany and has lived in San Francisco since 2016. Dance and movement have always been an important part of Anna's life. She started training and competing in Rhythmic Gymnastics when she was seven years old and has won various competitions, including the German Championship, during her 13-year journey in this sport.

In 2012, Anna started training in other dance styles, including hip hop, pop, contemporary, ballet, and jazz. She was also part of the cheerleading team at her university in Germany and performed at different local events as well as the Euromasters, a European cheerleading competition.

After moving to San Francisco in 2016, Anna continued to train in different dance styles in San Francisco and LA and joined RAE Agency as a dancer and model. She was a backup dancer for Bebe Rexa as part of Salesforce in the San Francisco pride parade and performed at various corporate events and holiday parties for companies such as Google, Oracle, Samsung, Apple, and the Golden State Warriors. Given her Rhythmic Gymnastics background, Anna’s specialty as a talent continues to be ribbon dancing and dancing with other props, such as the ball, hoop, clubs, and rope.

Anna also joined RAE Studios as a student in 2016 where she discovered her passion for cardio dance — a class format that brings together both dance and fitness. She has been teaching DRENCHED, a fun and sweaty all-levels cardio dance class, at RAE Studios since 2020. Besides being a Certified Holistic Health Coach, dance continues to be Anna’s biggest passion and she is excited to share that with others in her class and in classes she takes as a student.

You can follow Anna on Instagram @annaalexbee.

DRENCHED! All Levels:

In this class, prepare to bring a towel and bottled water.  Class will continuously move with three levels of movement.  Levels 1-2 are easy to follow with Level 3 designed to move vigorously while pushing choreography retention. We suggest taking this class for at least 3-5 weeks to get in the swing of learning combos.  Class is great for all levels.  Modified movements available and instructed by the teacher for every class.

Lexi Nutkiewicz

Hip Hop (Beginner)

12:00pm - 1:00pm

Lexi (she/her) is a New Jersey-born, California-raised dancer and choreographer with over 10 years of teaching and professional dance experience. Lexi’s passion for Hip-Hop began when she took her first Popping class at 7 years old. While she was heavily involved in soccer throughout childhood, she stopped playing at age 15 to focus on dance, choreographing for her dance team, attending master workshops in Los Angeles (Movement Lifestyle and Millenium Dance Complex), and teaching part-time youth and adult classes. She attended the University of Colorado Boulder where she studied Psychology and Dance and became heavily involved with the university’s street dance crew, VeRVE Collisionz. As captain of VeRVE, she helped organize the largest street dance competition in Colorado, acted as the creative director and choreographer, and kept up the team morale. After graduating in 2018, she moved to the Bay Area and joined Str8jacket Dance Company and currently serves as the Outreach Coordinator. With Str8jacket, she’s performed at several community events (Seoul Train, UNNIE, Presidio Picnic, San Mateo County Fair, Concert for Change), dance competitions (World of Dance, Prelude, VeRVE Collisionz), and events (BET Experience, ASAP Natin ‘To Bay Area, Adobe for All Conference, SF International Hip-Hop Dance Fest). She currently trains in Hip-Hop, House, Whacking/Waacking, Locking, and Popping.

She began teaching virtual Hip-Hop classes at Rae Studios during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. In 2021, she co-founded Rae Studios’ professional development program called More Than Movement, which that aims to provide opportunities for Rae Studios’ instructors and staff to grow their teaching skills, social advocacy, and knowledge of dance history and culture through community building, education, and anti-racism work. She is also represented by Rae Agency and is the co-instructor of Grokker’s Dance Jam program, the platform’s first dance program.

Lexi is grateful for all of the training and performance opportunities, and looks forward to continuing her professional career in dance. Her goal as a teacher is to educate her students about Hip-Hop history and culture and create an inclusive and positive environment for her students to grow as dancers.

You can check out Lexi’s work on her Instagram (@lexinut7) and on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@heyitslexxayy).
