NEIGHBORHOOD PROGRAMS
We are proud to team up with the city of San Francisco, SF Recreation & Parks, and neighboring partners to bring a community driven initiative aimed to promoting health, wellness, and social connection through free, accessible dance and fitness classes. Offered to everyone of all ages and all levels, the program includes a variety of dance styles such as afro dance, Bollywood, hip-hop, k-pop, salsa, and shuffling, as well as cardio dance and fitness classes like barre, BollyX, and DRENCHED!, a Rae Studios signature exclusive.
Classes are held at various outdoor spaces, creating a fun, supportive environment where residents, tourists, and anyone passing by can join and engage with one another while staying active. The program is designed to encourage physical activity, enhance mental well-being, and build a sense of community. Everyone in the neighborhood has the opportunity to participate and stay healthy for free.
UN PLAZA FITNESS COURT
In November 2023, Mayor London N. Breed, the City of San Francisco, and San Francisco Recreation & Parks unveiled a transformed UN Plaza. The area is now a dynamic hub for recreation and scheduled activities in the Civic Center neighborhood, and home to the UN Plaza Fitness Court | Studio.
What is Fitness Court | Studio?
The Fitness Court® Studio is a 2,000 sq. ft. outdoor workout space for all ages, abilities, and fitness levels to utilize. The new Fitness Court® Studio features a surround sound system that elevates a rotating schedule of dance and fitness classes such as Zumba, Hip Hop, K-Pop, H.I.I.T., yoga, Pilates, and more to create the world’s best outdoor group class experience. The free outdoor gym with two programmable classrooms is within walking or biking distance of nearly 450,000 residents, providing accessible fitness options for all who live near or visit UN Plaza.
UNION SQUARE CARDIO WEDNESDAYS
Rae Studios is proud to be the 2025 programming partner of the San Francisco Recreation & Parks, OEWD, and BRV; providing FREE CLASSES to the Union Square Neighborhood to increase equity and access to dance & wellness for all ages, abilities, and levels. Cardio Wednesday will feature outdoor cardio dance classes provided by Rae Studios. Classes offered will range from DRENCHED! (A Rae Studios Signature class), BollyX, Shuffling, and Salsa Styling. All classes offered will be free. We encourage all participants to sign up in advance as spots are limited. We are thrilled to be apart of this amazing new addition to the Union Square neighborhood.
MISSION ROCK CLASSES
Rae Studios is proud to be the 2025 programming partner of Mission Rock to provide FREE CLASSES to the Mission Rock neighborhood located at China Basin Park. Outdoor classes will feature rotating dance classes at 5pm every Thursday, and morning Barre classes every Friday at 10am. All classes offered will be free. We encourage all participants to sign up in advance as spots are limited. We are thrilled to be a part of this amazing addition to San Francisco’s newest neighborhood.
